PARENTS EXPERIENCE STRESS SIX TIMES A DAY BECAUSE OF THEIR CHILDREN

Parents are under stress because of their children six times a day, eight days a month they feel that they need rest and time for themselves, and it takes twice as much time to leave the house than before the child was born.

The biggest stress for parents is sending the children to bed, weekly grocery shopping with the children and having lunch together. Parents emphasized that a high level of stress is also the constant concern that the child does homework and learns everything for school, as well as bathing before going to bed.

High on the list of things that cause them stress is the fact that they often rush home from work to be with their children, planning the menu and worrying about proper nutrition.

“Responsibly doing your job and taking care of the children at the same time sometimes seems impossible, so even the simplest things around children can seem impossible to do with a calm head,” parents said.

It also drives them crazy when children eat sweets before meals, they draw on the walls and carpets or don’t want to get dressed when they have to go somewhere. An obvious trigger for stress is when children misbehave when they make a mess in a store or restaurant.

Parents report that compared to before, it takes them twice as long to leave the house, even 12 minutes more than before they had children. They need 14 minutes more to buy groceries with children, spend 11 minutes more on getting dressed in the morning than before, and having breakfast together takes 12 minutes longer.
